How do I clean my house in 30 minutes?

Set a 30-minute clock that will help speed clean your home if you have a very short time of cleaning.

Collect your cleaning tools

You will need:

• Duster
• 2 cloths – 1 for cleaning and 1 for shining
• Cleaning wipes
• Multi-purpose Cleaner
• Broom, dustpan & brush and Vacuum
• Black dust bin bags
• Laundry basket

Remove any rubbish and trash from the priority rooms, e.g. the kitchen or living room, the hallway, and bathroom.  Collect the rubbish and trash and put it in a black bin bag and dump any clutter into a laundry basket. Take the time to empty any visible bins.

To really save time, wipe the surface using cleaning wipes. They clean the dust and give the surfaces a spotless shine.

For mirrors, a nice and quick wipe. A clean and shiny mirror makes the room look neat and tidy.  Just before you go into the final 10 minutes, close the windows and spray perfume or an air freshener in the bathroom and priority rooms.

Use the final 10 minutes to sweep or vacuum the priority rooms. Take a cleaning wipe and go over to the areas on the floor that have any visible dirt and spots. The cleaning wipe gives a shine if you do not have for mopping.

Final tip: if you have any snacks to serve, keep them out on the table for the guests. If you’re making the tea, they will be busy checking and eating into them instead of looking around the home – and noticing anything.
